Do you want block certain website in any computer without using any software because of your kids or employee are addicted on several time killing or adult site. You can use some software to block any website. But sometimes it is handy to use software to block any harmful website. Don’t worry! Here you see how to easily block any website without using any software.
Step-1: Click “Start” and then “Run” (or press WinKey + r). Now copy and paste the following path and hit ENTER.
notepad %windir%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
You can also go to C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\Etc and find the file “hosts”. Now Open that file in Notepad.
Step-2: In the hosts file ,you will see something like “127.0.0.1 localhost” or “127.0.0.1 localhost.goldderby.com” at the bottom.
Step-3: Under “127.0.0.1 localhost” just add website URL that you want to block.
For Example:-
127.0.0.1 localhost.goldderby.com
127.0.0.2 www.abcd.com
127.0.0.3 www.testsite.com
Step-4: Make sure when you add another website, the last digit of the address 127.0.0.x should not be the same.

Step-5: Finally Save the file and exit.
You can block any type of website applying this method. If you remove the blocked websites, just simply remove the line and you are done.
